Some are open vessels with the sculptural form a canvas to gracefully display the beauty and dynamics of the wood grain and figure. Some are closed or capped with a fitted lid. Some have burned accents, stone inlay, or a surprise cabochon. The finish is fine enough so the grain becomes vivid and alive without a heavy gloss feeling like it is encapsulated.
